Over The Edge and Dawn Of The Dead

Of course, we know movies aren't reality but there is often something real like a location that fans can visit. Two of my favorite movies of all time are Over The Edge and Dawn Of The Dead. Over The Edge was actually based on a real event, but it was moved from a California setting to Colorado and much of the location still looks like it did then today. Check out this incredible Over The Edge fan site. The guy has even gone to the trouble of making models of some of the location's buildings. The suburban planned community location was a key to the movie's plot.

Dawn Of The Dead is another film where the location is pivotal to the plot, in this case the primary seetting was the Monroeville Mall located in Pennsylvania. Though many of the store's are different, the ice skating rink is now the food court, and their never was a gun shop, much of the mall still looks the same. Check out this Dawn Of The Dead fan site for all of the gory details.
