Think 101 Times

Newsweek definitely screwed up major league with their outright lie about the Koran being flushed down toilets at Gitmo, but the Pakistani reaction on Newsweek's retraction is so stoopid it makes my head hurt.

Quote: "They should understand the sentiments of Muslims and think 101 times before publishing news which hurt feelings of Muslims."

The lie of an article hurt their feelings, so a bunch of Muslims went beserk protesting resulting in people dying. I don't know about you, but I don't start a riot everytime my feelings get hurt...if I did my life would probably be a 24 hour a day riot.

Be religious. Take it seriously if you like. But stop being so damn dumb. And if you're Muslim, please don't believe anything you read from the American media.

Newsweek Lied; Kids Died.

I'd pretty much say "If you can read, don't believe anything you read in the American media."

I've noticed how concerned the muslim community is about hurting others 'feelings' when they turn out in hundreds and thousands to shout "Death to Americans". Their own fellow Arabs are blowing up crowded Mosques - where the f*** is their great sense of indignation and outrage? But they hear that an American may have flushed the Quaran and they are up in arms! 101 times my ass.

Sorry guys and gals, I’m not a “flamer” but for “Fair and Balanced” perspective:

- Let’s not act like the entire “muslim community” is protesting and killing as a result of the Newsweek article and that they are not outraged about mosques being blown up.
- I don’t find the “Newsweek Lied; Kids Died” anti-war mockery very humorous under the circumstances. A tad irresponsible to point the finger at the media, but not our leaders or ourselves.
- “Newsweek lied.” They had a source that backed off their story once the s--t hit the fan. ‘Faulty intelligence’ anyone?
- While Newsweek is the current recipient of the Dan Rather treatment it should be noted that they are not the first to bring up the whole desecration of the Koran issue.

Peace, Shrub.

I didn't say every Muslim in my post. I said "a bunch of Muslims" which is true. I can't speak for the "Newsweek Lied, Kids Died" poster so i'm let him defend his ownself. Newsweek should perhaps get better sources, and wait before rushing to press with a story that reflects their political leanings. I'll grant your last point Shrub, but what I want to know is why the Arab world even bothers to read material emanating from the Great Satan. I figure Ray Romano was an agent of the devil, so I never bothered to watch his show so my feelings were never hurt by his attempt at comedy.

Thanks for stopping by Shrub. Let's go Mavs!!
