I was a mere baby in Memphis, Tennessee at this point of time, but I would get to know the Martin Theatre years later after it became the Martin Twin Theatre. If you happen to be old enough to remember and, most likely, lived in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, plus loved going to see movies, March 15, 1967 was a date you might remember. It was the day before the grand opening of the Martin Theatre. The first 200 ladies to arrive would get a free orchid. There would be Hollywood style spotlights and a band playing outside. It was going to be an epic night, plus you'd even get to see Fred MacMurray's latest Disney hit Follow Me, Boys!
