I'm going back through what comprised my senior year of high school and first semester of college in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Come along for the ride. New posts every day or so mixed in with other things.
November 23, 1984. Santa Claus was making his way to Stones River Plaza and Mercury Plaza as the Christmas shopping season begins in earnest. He came by fire truck or by helicopter as his reindeer were still getting back in shape for Christmas Eve. The real nice thing was you could see both arrivals since Mercury Plaza was in the morning and Stones River Plaza had theirs in the afternoon.
The Loveless Photography ad which would run in the upcoming Sunday paper once again features a Riverdale student. This time I'm pretty sure it's Mike Shea who was a well rounded athlete and all around nice guy. It didn't surprise me at all to see him go on to great success as an investment banker.
