I'm going back through what comprised my senior year of high school and first semester of college in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Come along for the ride. New posts every day or so mixed in with other things.
October 20, 1984. It was Saturday and that means reading all about the high school football games from the night before. It was a rainy night on October 19th and Lincoln County shut Oakland out 8-0 while Riverdale blanked Shelbyville 27-0. Lincoln County has not given up a touchdown so far this season.
A couple of other random items from the Saturday paper of October 20, 1984. Daddy Rabbits was now serving a Sunday brunch. No thanks.
Finally I present the most confident person that ever lived, Eleanor Mondale, who was out campaigning for her father Walter. She would pass away from brain cancer at the age of 51, but she sure had an interesting life. Be sure to click the Wiki link and read more about her. I, do however, find it amazing that anyone would have thought Mondale could beat Reagan in that election.
